The Overseas Athlete

After working with hundreds of athletes in the currency management space via SportsFX, I realised that managing money was just one piece of the puzzle. Athletes moving overseas face countless challenges, including adapting to new cultures, handling contracts, understanding tax implications, and navigating life beyond the game.

This led me to create The Overseas Athlete Podcast & Newsletter, a platform dedicated to sharing the real, unfiltered stories of athletes, coaches, and agents who have taken their careers abroad. From culture shocks to career-defining moments, dealing with homesickness, injuries in foreign lands, financial lessons to road-life adventures, the goal is to provide practical insights and inspiring stories to help athletes at every stage of their journey.

Having been a professional footballer myself, competing in Canada, North America and Australia, I understand what it takes to thrive beyond home soil. Now, through SportsFX and The Overseas Athlete, I want to give athletes the knowledge and tools to make smarter decisions on and off the field.

Over the past three years, I've built a wonderful group of professionals passionate about helping athletes in several different areas of expertise. The goal is to connect them via The Overseas Athlete and provide a very supportive system for athletes to thrive internationally.
